Valpo's Voice for Leadership Feedback
Something doesn't feel right in Valpo's future. Our leaders in the Executive and Council are not representing our priorates.
Save Valpo is a community-driven effort to put Valparaiso residents first — not political parties, not special interests. We believe that what unites us as neighbors, parents, and residents is far stronger than what divides us.
Our mission is simple: to listen to and represent the everyday people of Valparaiso — especially the young families building their futures here. We want a city that is safe, family-focused, and forward-thinking, where decisions are guided by common sense, accountability, and respect for community values, not partisan agendas.
Whether you vote Democrat, Republican, or Independent, your voice matters. Together we can ensure Valpo grows responsibly, keeps its neighborhoods safe, its water clean, its leadership transparent, and its focus where it belongs — on the people who call this city home.
Save Valpo — For Families. For Freedom. For Our Future.
“The level of engagement we’ve seen from residents has been outstanding,” said Mayor Jon Costas.
The City of Valparaiso has asked its residents for feedback on two nearly identical new concepts for the formerly planned Sports Complex and Generational park land known as Eastgate "Park".
The City held an open house on Nov. 5th which was supposed to be for public input, however you can judge for yourself when looking at the cities official Option A or B we've come along way from Sports Complex or a Generational Park Space. Remember, the land was acquired via ARPA funds, very creatively but the now implementation is far from original intent.
From The official City Website: The initial master plan, created by Browning Day, was placed on hold following the 2023 cancellation of the proposed sports park. The City of Valparaiso and the Valparaiso Redevelopment Commission have since re-engaged Browning Day to develop new conceptual plans for the area in conjunction with the extension of Memorial Parkway.
